Training Times Update + Amended PL Draw

Premier League squad now trains 7.30pm to 9.30pm at ES Marks every Tuesday night throughout the season.

For the last three weeks in March we will be training at the same time but on Wednesday nights. For a map please see: ES Marks Field.

Amended Premier League Draw: There have been some changes to the original draw, see Season Draw for new version. Please ensure you destroy/ignore any earlier copies.

Coogee United 'Mr World' Competition

Coogee United 'Mr World' competition
Saturday 14th of April at the Beach Palace Hotel.

On display will be 10 of Coogee Utd's finest PL players strutting their stuff on the catwalk over three distinct categories trying to win the title of "Mr World"

Entry fee of $10 and free food and drink on arrival with doors opening at 7.30pm.

All welcome so please come along and support, it will be a great laugh and crowd participation essential in deciding the winner.

A Message from the Coach...

So… pre-season is well underway, fitness is gradually returning and thoughts are beginning to turn to finalising our squad for the season ahead.

Here are a few key dates that the Premier League 1st and 2nd Grade will be working to as we lead into the season kick off on March 31.



February 3rd and 10th: Selection trials to be played between the provisional squad. The purpose of these will be to undergo the first stage of the squad trimming process, allowing those that aren't selected plenty of time to secure a spot with a lower grade team. Matches will take place at Heffron Park, 10.30am meet.

February 17th: Premier and Reserve Grade trial game v Waverley Old Boys
Location: Mission Field 5
Kick off: Premier League 1st Grade: 4.30pm, Reserves: 3.00pm

February 24th: Final trial game: Opposition and location TBC

March 1st: Deadline for final confirmation of 1st and reserve grade squad and for registration fees to be paid.

March 3rd, 10th and 17th: Official Pre-season Tournament.
Both 1st and Reserve Grade will play in a four team round robin tournament organised by UNSW. Prize money on offer for the winners. Games will be played at UNSW Little Bay, and will kick off at either 2.00 and 4.00pm

There will also be a pre-season trip to Wagga Wagga for the 1st grade near the end of March, and the big season kick off is March 31st v our old foes, Dunbar Rovers.

On the social side of things all players after training on Thursday nights are expected to head back to our major sponsor for 2007, the Beach Palace Hotel for a few refreshing cold ones.

So there are clearly busy and exciting times ahead for the Coogee United Premier League squad as they embark on their first season at this level.

Premier League - see updated training times 7/3/07

2007 sees the start of the new Eastern Suburbs Premier League (Saturday competition).

Coogee United will be fielding two teams and are currently trialing prospective players.
This competition is suitable for players of AA1 and AA2 standard.

Training is at Coogee Oval: Tuesday and Thursdays at 6.30pm.
Practice games start at 11.00am this Saturday 3rd February at Heffron Park.
